First, it goes without saying that any organization that counts Ernie as a member is not one worthy of any credible members. Having said that, I have a statement.
PCW was offered the Manitoba affiliate. Dale Gagne attempted to intimidate and pressure us and even insinuated that the AWA title defense of Steve Corino on August 4th 2005 would be in jeopardy if funds were not immediately sent to him.
I quickly became disillusioned with the AWA and Dale Gagne and saw very little positive benefit to joining that organization (as I have stated publically and privately several times). However, I intended to live up to my end of an agreement that gave me through August to complete the transaction.
After speaking to Mr Gagne, it becomes apparent that he is the U.S. version of Ernie Todd. A liar, a mark and a conman. He managed to threaten, not just me, but the venue we run at and the manager of that venue during the conversation.
Let me say this. It is my position, that PCW represents AWA in Manitoba. If need be, I will publically reveal any and all information that leads me to that position. And while I see little benefit in the AWA and the value of the brand has suffered great harm since the announcement of Ernie's joining, a deal is a deal. Ernie Todd cannot push people around and neither can Dale Gagne.
I for one put far more value on Zero1 and Steve Corino then i do on the CWF and Ernie Todd. Dale, after 20 years in the business, cannot say the same thing.
Ernie has always wished he could be PCW. He tried to work with us in 2002 after meeting with John Nguyen. He then tried to get a job with PCW, applying with John again in 2002. He tried to sell to PCW in 2002. He tried to scoop PCW talent in 2003 and then join us near the end of that year. Ernie's existance in the business is defined by his desire to be PCW. He can't be. If the closest he can come is to seek out a person as morally corrupt as himself to lie and cheat, then that says a lot about the character of the self-professed aborigional role-model.
In short, after speaking and dealing with Dale, Ernie and the AWA deserve each other. But if they thought I would shrug, they were wrong. My involvement gives the AWA far more credibility then it deserves with Ernie as a member. But, as I said, a deal is a deal.
So sue me, Dale. We already know Ernie doesnt have the balls to.

You're better off. Recent local activities have shown that AWA affiliation means squat and it's not needed to book NWA or AWA champs.

You're right. in fact, Ernie cannot book AWA World Champion Steve Corino, but I can. Interesting, eh?
Ernie wanted someone to put up $1000 that he could not book Corino on his anniversary show this fall. Question is, will Ernie do the same?
This is the idiot that has to run 'angles' on his website t explain title changes since no one ever sticks around long enough to do them.
This is the creative genius who's idea of a great angle to explain the NWA National title is to say the NWA forced Spyder not to work Wavell because they feared he'd drop it to a WWE worker. Yes, Ernie, WWE gives a rat's ass about you...lol
I loved hearing Dale rip Ernie apart and call him a mark and then turn around and take his money. They really do deserve each other. Maybe they can blow each other into having the balls to stop me from mentioning the AWA every d**n time I want to...

For once Andrew and I agree.
Dale Gagne and Ernie Todd are very similar. As a matter of fact in the last month, both have threatened to take me to court. Gagne feels that since I didn't book Steve for August 20th I should pay him 50% of Steve's performance fee because we had a 'verbal agreement' Ernie feels he should sue me because he claims we had a 'verbal agreement' as well, over his use of Broadway Neighborhood Center.
I have the greatest respect for what the AWA used to be. When our first year of affiliation expired, I asked Andrew if he would be interested in taking over as the AWA Affiliate in Winnipeg.
For the AWA name to be affiliated with Winnipeg's best promotion was the right thing to do.
I'm sure Ernie will do for the AWA what he did for the NWA.
Since somehow my PC has been banned from both Moondog and the NWA Message Forum, I'll have to follow the story as it unfolds here.

Curious. Are there any legal reprecussions with Ernie offering NWA/CWF affiliations as of late? He offered an Alberta promotion one recently and surely within knowledge of him joining the AWA.
I have worked for Ernie recently (and will not anymore. See adrianwalls.blogspot.com for why!) and he never brought up the AWA. Immediately after returning from tour he was in contact with others about affiliation... and then quit spouting racism (Midget calling the dwarf short?).
I dunno. Seems very... wrong.
What exactly does being a part of the NWA or AWA do for one's company? The names mean nothing in Canada outside, likely, ECCW as their fanbase is a bit bigger and perhaps more linked to the internet.

I read your story. You should post that to this board or Manson's for greater public consumption. It is a great read. Ernie is a strange one. He certainly fits the bill as a bully but is also the first guy to act cowardly and accuse people of threatning him. And if that doesn't work, he will accuse you of being racist, as if he has a long history of aborigional traditionalism or something.
As for what AWA and NWA can do for you, really nothing. The age of the affiliate system is long past. Guys can work anymore. Names can work anywhere. Look at Ernie - he was the NWA President, yet more NWA associated talent was brought in to Winnipeg by 'competitors'. He is not smart enough to bring in a name and draw a crowd or make money.
As an AWA member, he is adversly affecting that group much the way he did the NWA. You've got Dale Gagne lying to people, even his own champion it seems. The champ publically speaking out against him and vowing never to work for Ernie even as Ernie arrogently demands that 'fans' bet $1000 that Steve will work for him. What a joke.
I will say this, Dale Gagne proved to be a dink from the get go. The only thing of benefit I saw in the AWA was Steve Corino and Zero1. Ernie does not have the talent to be booked in Japan. And even when he was NWA President, he was so disrespected by his peers, he could not get his talent booked anywhere. My belief is, Steve will leave the AWA. Dale would have to do a lot of ego stroking to keep him and really give in to anything Steve wanted.
I may rush the launch of our website to present a special report on the Winnipeg/AWA connection complete with e-mails and comments and, ofcourse, the AWA logo as I see fit.
As far as Ernie appearing to be a crook, here is a brief story. In fall of 2003, he proposed working with me. I agreed under the condition that I book everything. Ernie is a mark for the 'invasion' angle and the nWo as he thinks he is both Vince McMahon and Eric Bischoff.
I booked a decent invasion angle and Ernie proposed we run a few LID shows as CWF shows, with his banners etc...and I assume forgo any production value or workrate and make it really seem like a CWF show. I thought doing that once or twice had merit. Then Ernie suggested we make these CWF shows really realistic by dropping all the PCW talent that required PO's and just use his trainees. How that would continue the angle is beyond me. He then suggested that he get all the gate revenue and take care of PO's, of which there would be none since he wanted to use only trainees.
Uh yeah, sure Ernie. and then he got hot when I refused. He's a crook alright...

I am confused about it all. Didn't he apologize to the NWA for calling them racist... but then goes and does it again?
Ugh.
Seriously, why can't people just leave sh!t alone.

Ernie needs an assistant just to keep track of his bullsh!t. He flips flops so much, he should run for public office. Oh wait, never mind...

I'd like to see that E-mails are protected by copyright, but you'd be able to use them in this case. "The Copyright Act provides that any "fair dealing" with a work for purposes of private study or research, or for criticism, review or news reporting is not infringement. However, in the case of criticism, review, or news reporting, the user is required to give the source and the author's, performer's, sound recording maker's or broadcaster's name, if known." Well thank you for giving me permission. I'd do it anyway. An e-mail exchange is a conversation between at least two people. I own the e-mails as much as the other person does and can do with them what I please. Sort of like recording phone calls (which has happened in the local business) or taping a conversation. people think you need permission. You dont.

I own the e-mails as much as the other person does and can do with them what I please. Actually you don't and you can't. You own what you wrote, he owns what he wrote, e-mails are considered copyrighted works upon creation and the author owns it and is the automatic copyright holder unless that right is waived or passed on.

And just to prove it, I might just post some e-mails you sent me too...
