Premier Championship Wrestling presented a very special event this past Thursday at the LID! Faces from the past returned, titles changed hands and blood was spilled as 'Showtime' Robby Royce solidified his powerbase!
Darien Karisma vs Kory Kinkade
Former partners battled it out to start the show. The fans had clearly embraced Karisma as they erupted when he was introduced. And the Barely Legal member did not disappoint in the early going, taking full control of the bout. Kinkade had flashes of control, but Karisma seemed to draw inspiration from the people and connected on his leaping DDT, appearing to seriously injure his opponant.
Showing compassion, Karisma backed away, but 'Showtime' Robby Royce hit the ring and attacked his, laying him out for Kinkade to get the easy pin.
Winner: Kory Kinkade
Post Match: In a sign of things to come, Royce took control of the ring. He made reference to Kinkade, telling him to 'stick by me kid and you'll be fine'. Kinkade appeared confused as he wandered to the back.
Royce was unusually brief in his comments, expressing distaste for the tribute to TRCW. He said he would ruin the special night for Shallcross and PCW just like he would ruin their crowning glory on June 2nd why winning the Premier Cup!
'Diehard' Greg Romijn & Pete Chee vs Moses Luke &
Moses said he had been auditioning tag team partners but last week his partner was a disgrace. The TRCW tribute show gave him an idea. He looked to his past and realised he needed only one partner - the man with whom he was the first ever PCW Tag Team Champions...
The Big O!!!
O appeared to a huge reaction from the fans as the music of Perfect Balance played. Romijn and Chee seemed surprised, but shook hands with the returning O!
The match was evenly fought throughout and O showed the same spark that made him a two-time former PCW Tag Team Champion.
With Mo slumped in the corner, Romijn and Chee double-teamed him. However, Chee appeared to suffer a knee injury on an attempted Irish Whip and fell to the canvas. The distraction allowed Mo to grab Romijn from behind and nail the DVD for the pin
Winners: Perfect Balance
Post Match, Moses continued to assault Romijn until Chee interjected. The masked phenom checked on his partner and then, to the horror of the people, began attacking him!
As officials tried to pull the enraged Chee off Romijn, The Big O got involved. Suddenly, Moses attacked his own partner too! Luke and Chee pounded on Romijn and O until a bat-swinging Cisco Stanico hit the ring to run them off!
Kenny Omega Promo
Fans erupted for Kenny Omega who, just last week, narrowly lost to PCW Heavyweight Champion to fail to qualify for the Premier Cup Tournament.
Omega explained that he was scheduled to team with Mentallo tonight to answer the challenge of the Tag Team Champions, however, due to several lingering injuries that were aggravated in the match last week, he was unable to compete. He said he would be in Mentallo's corner to ensure that neither Skillz, Dicaprio or anyone else cheated their way to victory and that Mentallo was free to choose a new partner.
Omega also said that in two weeks, it would be the biggest match of his career as he was entered in the WildCard Rumble to determine the final entrant to the Premier Cup Tournament. He said 'afterall, who really wants a Premier Cup Tournament without Kenny Omega?' The fans agreed.
PCW Canadian Championship
Chris Raine vs Antonio Scorpio Jr
The fans began chanting 'Raine, Raine' immediately upon his introduction. He took the mic and said that he would get his belt back now and then realise a dream on June 2nd by winning the Premier Cup tournament!
This match was a glorified brawl as both men, familear with each other, fought viciously! As they stood in the centre of the ring trading punches, referee Steve H Ross tried to separate them but was punched in the face by one of them or perhaps both. Frustrated, Ross called for the bell and decided to disqualify both men.
Scorpio nailed Raine in the head with the Canadian title belt, knocking him into semi-consciouseness.
