Premier Championship Wrestling, live at the LID Nightclub this past Thursday May 26th, presented another awesome event only one week prior to Premier Cup: X-Raided!
The Elite Eight Premier Cup Participants were finally revealed!
PCW Canadian Champion Antonio Scorpio Jr successfully defended his title against the Big O, winning via knock out following a series of forearm smashes to the head of his opponant.
'Showtime' Robby Royce hit the ring and reiterated that he would win the Premier Cup tournament and give PCW no choice but to grant him another shot at the PCW title. Royce explained that he was TRCW and ICW champion and would finally do what no one else had been able to do - unite the business!
Shockingly, Royce was cut off by NWA President Ernie Todd! Even more shockingly, Todd shook the hand of PCW Director of Operations Andrew Shallcross and proceeded to put over PCW and their talent.
He explained that Shallcross had approached him with a great idea - the formation of an NWA Canadian X Division Championship! Todd revealed that the first ever NWA Canadian X Division Champion would be the winner of the Premier Cup!
'Beautiful' Bobby Jay & 'Adorable' David Dixon vs Barely Legal vs Royce & Kory Kinkade vs Moses Luke & Pete Chee
The finish came as several participants took turns hitting plancha's through the ropes to the floor on their opponants. The fans began chanting for Moses Luke to do the same, so the 400 pounder climbed to the top rope and lept onto the other 7 guys.
Barely Legal returned to the ring and isolated Pete Chee, causing Chee's former friend and partner Greg Romijn to come out and plead with Klassic & Karisma to stop hurting him. The unintentional distraction allowed Moses to sneak up behind and win the match.
Rawskillz vs Chris Raine
This match was for Chris Raine's spot in the Premier Cup tournament. However, after Skillz was introduced, Shallcross revealed that Raine had not shown up for unknown reasons. Skillz declared himself the winner and the 7th participant in the Premier Cup.
Rawskillz also said that he had plenty of skills and refused to take the spot that way. He arrogently challenged anyone in the back to face him for the spot.
Kenny Omega answered the challenge!! The fans erupted, but Skillz was shocked. Omega took the mic and said that Skillz, Royce and their co-horts had been calling him a loser for some time and maybe that was accurate, but it was all about to change.
The match started and was and incredible display. In the end, Omega used a roll-up to stun Skillz with the pin.
Kenny Omega is now in the Premier Cup Tournament!
Skillz was irate and nearly in tears.
PCW Heavyweight Championship
Mentallo vs 'Enforcer' JP Kaos
Earlier in the show, Royce had made this challenge on behalf of his 'enforcer' JP Kaos. He pointed out that when Mentallo had won the PCW Canadian Championship last year, no one could beat him...but JP Kaos. And just like he did last year, Kaos would shock the world and pin Mentallo's shoulders to the mat for the title. And then he would do what was right for the business and hand the belt to Robby Royce!
Mentallo appeared in control as he went up to the top turnbuckle. Royce grabbed his leg long enough to allow Kaos to recover and hit a beautiful superplex. The fans cheered wildly as Mentallo became the first person to kick out of Kaos' incredible finisher. Within moments, Mentallo rallied and scored the victory following a beautiful moonsault!
WildCard Rumble to determine the final participant in the premier Cup!
'Showtime' Robby Royce drew number one!
Rawskillz drew number two!
And Royce appeared ready to celebrate as his Elite Squad teammate hit the ring. The two men shook hands and embraced as the fans chanted 'hit him, hit him'. Skillz finally obliged, nailing his longtime friend and team mate!
As the other 18 men filled the ring, the action was fast and furious. Senior Official Christopher Marxwell, clearly over confident from his victory against official Steve H Ross several weeks ago, entered the rumble.
When Greg Romijn finally entered as the last man, he immediately saved his former friend Pete Chee was elimination. Chee thanked him with a shot to the face, but Romijn refused to fight and was eliminated.
It came down to the first two men, Royce and Skillz! But within moments, Skillz had sent Royce flying to the floor with a vicious lariet as the fans celebrated.
Rawskillz is in the Premier Cup!
