Premier Championship Wrestling presents the Premier Cup: X-Raided this Thursday June 2nd at the LID Nightclub!
This event will feature the most outstanding wrestling action possible, featuring former World X Division Champions The Amazing Red and 'The Future' Chris Sabin!
It was announced just last week that the winner of the tournament will not only become the inaugural Premier Cup Champion, but will also make history by becoming the first ever NWA Canadian X Division Champion!
Here is the official Premier Cup Preview!
Six Pack Elimination Challenge
PCW Tag Team Championship Number One Contender's Match
Moses Luke & Pete Chee vs Barely Legal vs Greg Romijn & Karnage vs Tag
Sciences Faculty vs Sexual Swat Team vs Ebony & Ivory
PCW Tag Team Champions Rawskillz & 'Vicious' Donny Dicaprio have been dominant since winning the gold in March, but their excellence has created a resurgence in the tag team division as multiple teams battle for the top spot.
Luke and Chee should be considered favourites as they won a Fatal Four Way tag team match just last week, though their victory came after Chee's former partner 'Diehard' Greg Romijn prevented popular young
Barely Legal from securing the victory. Romijn's strange desire to redeem Chee has seen him help the now hated masked man on several occasions and refuse to fight him. Romijn's partner Karnage has returned to PCW to make Chee accountable, but this motivation has
already caused problems between the two partners. If this match comes down to these two teams, where will Romijn's loyalties lie?
The Tag Sciences Faculty have looked impressive even though their win/loss record is not. Last time they wrestled, it appeared there was some issues between these two Brandon team mates as well.
Barely Legal have been on a roll since dumping JML as their manager. With the fans solidly behind them, they have made it clear they desire one thing - the PCW Tag Team Championship! They are young and not as
experienced as others in the match, but their desire cannot be overlooked.
'Adorable Dave' and 'Beautiful Bobby' appear to be a match made in heaven. The one striking difference - Dixon is openly homosexual while Bobby openly admits his gimmick is just that, a gimmick. Will Dixon's infatuation overshadow his quest for the gold or can the two most flamboyant superstars in PCW history take the titles? Bobby's vast experience could be the difference.
Ebony & Ivory appeared dead when Darien Karisma re-united with Barely Legal partner Chris Klassic, leaving Kory Kinkade all alone. But the recent betrayal of 'Enforcer' JP Kaos has created a new team in PCW.
Calling himself the 'Luckiest Man in the Business', Kinkade has been seeking advice from Robby Royce. With Kaos as a partner, a man who is a former PCW Tag Team and Canadian Champion, his boasts of luck could be true.
Mixed Martial Arts Exhibition
Featuring 'Vicious' Donny Dicaprio
Current PCW Tag Team Champion 'Vicious' Donny Dicaprio is not just a tremendous professional wrestler, he is an exceptional martial artist.
DiCaprio is an accomplished MMA competitor and holder of belts in Judo and Combat Jiu Jitsu and has trained extensively in Muay Thai. He has been recognized several times for his talents, placing highly in
several international competitions. Just last week, Dicaprio took part in the Saskatchewan Open Jiu Jitsu tournament, taking first place honors in the Heavyweight Gi, No Gi and Absolute competitions!
In November 2003, Dicaprio lived out a dream by facing UFC Superstar and former NWA World Heavyweight Champion Dan 'The Beast' Severn in an MMA match on a professional wrestling event. While not victorious,
Dicaprio earned many new fans and a lot of respect as he came as close as anyone to forcing the Beast to tap out.
In March of this year, Dicaprio appeared on another professional wrestling event in an MMA capacity, defeating his opponant and receiving rave reviews as many fans selected his match as the highlight of that event.
This is the first time an MMA Exhibition has taken place in PCW, but Dicaprio does not intend it to be the last. Great things may be on the horizon for Dicaprio, but he'll have to get past his unannounced opponant this Thursday Night!
Hall of Fame Inductions
'Class Act' Chris Parys & 'Playboy' Will Damon
PCW's rather young history is a glorious one filled with great performances and iconic superstars. This Thursday Night, two of the most popular performers in PCW history will return to be honoured for their past acomplishments.
Both men have had a history of greatness. In March 2002, Will Damon faced 'Latino Heat' Eddie Guerrero in a 25 minute classic in front of nearly 2000 fans at PCW's Commencement of Cool. He would be in the
spotlight all year, feuding with his former MVP partner Shane Madison before a serious back injury ended his career far too soon.
In July 2003, Chris Parys defied doctor's orders and returned early from a career-threatning knee injury to face former WCW and WWE Superstar Buff Bagwell. Before and after that event, Parys was never far from controversey, feuding with every top star in PCW and even launching an offensive against the Commissioner himself, Tom Manos!
While both men were often hated during their careers, their charisma and talent made them men the fans loved to hate. And in time, the fans just simply loved them.
This Thursday, PCW honours two of the all time greats!
