Any suggestions or requests regarding content and/or options to be included in the new site, currently under development? Aside from the extensive promoter profile, I mean... ;D

Full archives...wow. Well, I guess that is possible in the history section.
The bio page should be alright and will likely expand and get better over time.
There will be a history page, though I am not sure how much detailed history will apear. I am about half-way through the definitive PCW history, but it is very long, very detailed and contains information that may best be left out...lol

Put a priority on a roster page with good, current pictures and a short writeup. The old site writeup was good, but it doesn't need to be that long. Upcoming events calendar is a must, and the results that are usually posted here in a results section. All of the history stuff can some later. Just get the f**king thing on the net!
No 3 page promoter profile please. I fell asleep reading Wayne's and had some nightmares involving young girls, alcohol and polyester.
P.S. A link to this forum would be nice

The problem I find with bio pages is either they are so specific they are out dated within a month or they are so generic, who cares? It's hard to find a happy medium. I lean towards in-depth, detailed ones, but time is of the essence here.
If anyone comes across a good bio page, send me a link to check out.
I'm not down with putting myself over and my history will be pretty detailed in the history of PCW section, but there will likely be a bio for non-working members of the team as well.

The Bio's should be made up like so..
Name: Height: Weight: Date Of Birth: From: Debut:
Titles Won:
Tournaments Won:
Signature Moves: (5 max)
Bio: (Short)
Everything that everyone needs to know is covered. I don't want to see it get all crazy with favourtie colour, blood type, etc...
Also about the site itself.. is it going to have the same domain name? I'd hate to see all those PCW shirts outdated.

Then perhaps instead of date of birth, use years in pro wrestling.

Debut date will be included. I did one detailed bio and it was six pages long. Back to the drawing board. Although that did include several pics.
Are full show archives important? And if so, do people want to see just quick show results or show recaps where available? I am thinking quick results in an archive and maybe do a regular 'this week in history' story in the news.
We're including a dedicated history section with history of PCW (probably a very long, very detailed definitive history of the promotion from a non-kayfabe standpoint), history of the championships and maybe history of specific big events (Back to School Bash, Beat The Summer Heat etc).
Bio section should also include Hall of Fame and Special Guests/Legends. What I am debating is whether there should be dedicated bios for tag teams when most guys are also acomplished singles workers. Opinions?
I'd like to see some video including the Welcome to the jungle vid on the main page with special features from time to time ie blasts from the past (The Gay Date anyone?), perhaps Guerrero/Damon, and other classic moments if my allocated space allows for such lengthy displays.
What else?

Video would be cool, but space and bandwidth might turn into an issue on those points. Perhaps a monthly shoot interview with one of the wrestlers, or something?

Keep bios shorter as no-one wants to read a 6 page bio. Pictures are a must. Good pictures that is. A good example of what to see on a biographies page is the new updated site for www.eccw.com. I had not been to their site for some time and was very much impressed earlier today when I went to check it out. The whole site is very well done. They also have a results section that you should follow as well. Not a ton of detail but enough to let the fans know what they need to.

As far as videos and bandwidth are concerned there are plenty of hosts out there in Canada now that would provide you with suffiecient bandwidth to post those videos. I, myself, have used the following company for some of the stuff that I have developed. For $11.99 monthly you receive: www.stormweb.ca/For Only $11.99/Month, You Get: 1000 MB of Web Space 30 GB of Bandwidth 750 E-mail Addresses Spam & Virus Protection Web Statistics Web-based Control Panel FrontPage 2003 Extensions PHP 4 Support CGI and SSI Support Web-based E-mail High Speed Servers
