On June 2nd, young Cisco Satanico had a lot to prove. While not advancing past the Premier Cup's first round, many people considered his match with Kenny Omega to be the best of the night.
This Thursday, Cisco will step into the ring in the main event against veteran 'Showtime' Robby Royce!
Two weeks ago, it appeared Cisco stunned everyone with an upset victory over Antonio Scorpio Jr for the PCW Canadian Championship. Scorpio pleaded that the match was non-sanctioned. In the rematch last week, both men fought with passion until an irate Royce interrupted to attack Cisco. His motivation? Cisco was trained by heavyweight champion Mentallo.
Cisco was brutally assaulted and even Scorpio, a longtime Royce ally, did not look impressed. He may have been even less impressed when Royce implied that he would easily defear Cisco this week, somewhat insinuating that perhaps Scorpio couldn't get the job done.
Will Cisco attain the biggest victory of his career or will Royce make an example of the young masked man he called a 'Mentallo wannabe'?
Cisco may not be the only young PCW Superstar with something to prove. Scorpio demanded more competition two weeks ago, lost an impromptu match and then was unable to defeat Cisco last week before Royce's run-in. The PCW Canadian Champion WILL defend his title tonight against an unnamed opponant.
The PCW Heavyweight Champion Mentallo will also be in action. After Royce and his cohorts Kaos & Kinkade took over the show last week, sending PCW Director of Operations Shallcross to the hospital, he forced Mentallo into a handicapped match. The Champ prevailed, but Royce dared him to show up and face anyone of his choosing. The only hint Royce has given is the challenger will be a non-PCW wrestler who's only goal will be winning the championship and handing it to Royce.
Prior to viciously attacking Shallcross, Royce made some very inapproproate comments about individuals who had left PCW. He claimed he would continue to 'speak the truth' tonight.
Will Kory Kinkade be back as the voice of PCW or will Shallcross return after having Kaos' kendo stick broken over his head?
History was made last week as the Tag Sciences Faculty, Mike Angels & Chad Tatum, won the PCW Tag Team Championship defeating number one contender's Barely Legal and the champs, Rawskillz & Donny Dicaprio in a triple threat match.
The outcome had huge ramifications for several PCW superstars. It was the first PCW championship for Angels and the second for Tatum. Ironically, Tatum's first title was attained by pinning Rawskillz for the Junior Heavyweight Championship in 2002.
While Skillz and Dicaprio lost the titles, a more accurate statement would be Skillz lost the titles alone. In a shocking development, Dicaprio was missing in action. He no-showed the title defense and his partner Rawskillz claimed he had no idea of his whereabouts. To his credit (and detriment), Skillz refused to complain and vowed to defeat the two challenging teams on his own. After a courageous battle, Skillz was defeated. Many fans love him, many hate him and Skillz claims to not care either way, but his one-man performance has to be respected and the no-show of his partner must have him seething. More on this tonight.
In a heart-wrenching development, PCW's young fan favourites, Barely Legal failed to achieve their much talked about dream of becoming tag team champions. Karisma and Klassic first turned down the offer of their previous manager JML to return to their side and then faced the challange of the Big Sexy Beasts head-on, defeating the PCW newcomers. With Royce firmly in control of the show, Barely Legal's dream match with the champs became a triple threat nightmare, but they accepted the match anyway. And while Karisma and Klassic were firmly in control, the BSB's, lead by JML attacked them, taking them out of the match.
It has now been learned that Darien Karisma suffered a serious injury, possibly ending his dream of wearing the gold forever. Barely Legal will be on hand tonight with a special interview.
The Premier Cup Champion and first ever NWA Canadian X Division Champion Kenny Omega returns to PCW for the first time since his all-world performance at X-Raided! He will finally discuss his historic victory and his future.
Former PCW Canadian and tag team champion Chris Raine has requested time on the show to address the fans. It is unclear what he wishes to say, but he has been absent for several months.
'Diehard' Greg Romijn has apparently lost his desire to wrestle in the wake of the betrayal of his friend Pete Chee. Romijn only wants to talk to his former partner one on one and PCW has ordered Chee to appear in the ring with Romijn tonight!
'Adorable' David Dixon isn't so adorable after administering two weeks of savage beatings to his former manager The Ukrainian Sex Machine Vinko! Last week was a sickening display as Dixon handcuffed Vinko to the ropes. Vinko is not a wrestler. Vinko should not be subject to violent attacks. But Vinko has promised that the 'Sex Disco' will go on tonight, only at the LID!
The World X Division Champion 'Fallen Angel' Christopher Daniels was victorious this past Sunday on Pay Per View, defeating Michael Shane and Premier Cup semi-finalist Chris Sabin. The man many consider the best wrestler on the planet comes to PCW August 4th for the fourth annual Beat the Summer Heat!
The biggest question surrounding that event is, who will face the 'Fallen Angel'? More on that tonight, only at the LID!
The weather is hot, but the booze is cold - $2.25 for drinks all night at the LID! Doors open at 8PM! Get there early, get some food, get some drinks, get a good seat and get ready for the best wrestling action in Canada!
