Premier Championship Wrestling is back at the LID nightclub this Thursday as Beat The Summer Heat is only weeks away!
PCW Tag Team Championship Match
The long awaited rematch between the new tag team champions Tag Sciences Faculty and the former champions, Rawskillz & 'Vicious' Donny Dicaprio finally takes place this Thursday night at the LID!
Mike Angels & 'Priceless' Chad Tatum won the titles a few weeks ago and took them back to Brandon Manitoba as they promised. This represents the first championship in Mike Angels' PCW career and the second for Tatum as he was also the second PCW Junior Heavyweight Champion in company history. His opponant back then? Rawskillz.
It goes without saying that Tatum and Skillz have a long and storied relationship dating back to their days in the CWF as one of the most dynamic tag teams in Manitoba history, Assisted Suicide. In PCW, they wowed fans, but their association was short-lived. Both Tatum and Angels tried out other partners, most notably Dean Richtor, before coming out of short retirements together as the Tag Sciences Faculty, self-proclaimed 'professors of tag team wrestling'.
For skillz, the tag team gold represented another accolade in his PCW tenure. As the 'most decorated man in PCW history', Skillz was a two-time tag team champion with two different partners. In the past several months, he has transformed himself into one of the most respected technical masters in the industry, a man who's pure wrestling ability has garnered respect and admiration from the fans even when he was openly railing against them.
Dicaprio has been somewhat of an enigma, always one step below the main event, but constantly in the thick of things in PCW. Shockingly, his tag team title win with Skillz was his first ever championship in PCW, truly demonstrating his selflessness as a member of superclique MVP and an associate of the Four wh**esmen. While always putting the team ahead of his own personal glory worked for several years, Dicaprio finally broke through with a partner as gifted a mat tactician as himself.
The real tragedy of the story is the way in which Skillz and Dicaprio lost the gold, preparing to face Barely Legal and being forced into a three way that included Tag Sciences and copious amounts of interference from the big Sexy Beasts. Making matters worse was Dicaprio's in-ability to make it for the match, forcing his partner to defend the title alone against four men. He was d**ned near successful, but his heroic efforts fell short and threatened to drive a wedge between himself and Dicaprio.
That is until Dicaprio secured a re-match and vowed to do anything to regain the only PCW championship he had ever won. He, rightfully, put over Skillz as a perrenial champion, but said the tag team titles meant more to him because his title reigns were few and faw between. When challenged by Skillz to prove the gold meant something, Dicaprio promised not to let him down.
But he did. Last week. Another Dicaprio no-show meant the tag match was scrapped and an angry Skillz set out to shut the mouth of the arrogent PCW Canadian Champion, Antonio Scorpio Jr. That match ended in a double countout after a thrilling contest between two very talented wrestlers. Clearly there is an issue developing there and Rawskillz made no secret that he had won every title in PCW but the Canadian Championship. He wanted it. But this week, his has the chance to become the first three time tag team champion in company history and Dicaprio has the opportunity to regain the only title he ever held.
Thick in drama, bursting with talent - this could be one of the greatest tag team matches in PCW history!
Darien Karisma's Last Stand?
Several weeks ago, in the aforementioned tag team championship three-way, Karisma and his partner Chris Klassic were on the verge of a life-long dream - being recognized as the best at what they do in the business they love. Their dream turned to a nightmare in mere moments as not only did they lose the opportunity to become champions, but Karisma was seriously injured at the hands of the Big Sexy Beasts.
The attack not left Karisma physically injured, but emotionally devastated as well. He considered retirement, but the doctors told him rehab could save his career. Facing 6-12 months on the injured list, an emotional Karisma vowed to do what he had to do to make a full recovery. Last week, the BSB's attempted to goad him into a fight...and they succeeded. Karisma stated his career would be over if he stepped into the ring, but it might be over anyway, so if he was going out, he was going to the BSB's with him.
He said Klassic would be at his side as the two teams are scheduled to face each other this Thursday, only at the LID! As if Barely Legal did not need any more motivation for this one, Aj Sanchez and Kevy Chevy agreed to offer up five minutes alone with their manager if they should lose the match.
Karisma's response? "Someone is going to the hospital". One can only hope it's not Karisma himself.
"There is good in him. I can feel it" - Pete Chee returns to the side of Greg Romijn
Several weeks ago, Chee shocked the world when he viciously attacked Greg Romijn and alligned himself with the hated Moses Luke. The betrayal threatened to force Romijn out of the business as he repeatedly refused to fight Chee or anyone else and the losses began to mount. The increasingly-desperate Romijn wanted one thing - to plead with Chee to turn his back on Mo and join him once again. But Luke refused to allow the conversation to take place. This past week, it became apparent why.
Chee finally responded to Romijn by agreeing to speak with him, but before he could let the fans in on his thought-process, Luke cut him off. Reminding Chee off all the reasons he joined him in the first place (Money, women, booze and "I'm your hook-up"), Chee appeared resigned to stay at his side. However, after another vicious attack by Moses and the embittered David Dixon, Chee could stand by no longer. With Romijn pleading for his friend to help him, Chee speared Dixon out of the ring and dropped Luke. As the fans cheered, Chee and Romijn embraced.
This week, Chee seeks revenge against Moses Luke.
Oh and this week, only at the LID, PETE CHEE SPEAKS!
Kory Kinkade Kampaign is in full swing!
Three weeks ago, Kory Kinkade became the victim of Robby Royce's war against PCW. He was fired was Director of Operations Andrew Shallcross. Last week, he sat in the crowd, creating signs and attempting to disrupt the show. When questioned, he revealed the Kory Kinkade Kampaign - a political endeavour designed to bring him back to PCW.
He released a petition in the LID and online and asked fans to show their support for him as battled 'the political structure of PCW'.
Kinkade vowed to do anything to make an impact and garner support for his reinstatement into the company. No doubt, the campaign will continue this Thursday Night at the LID.
Fans wishing to support the campaign can do so by signing the petition found here:

A new direction for PCW?
As a partial result of the Kory Kinkade controversey, Royce's repeated threats of a lawsuit and several other complaints of Shallcross' dictatorship-like control of PCW, the Commissioner Tom Manos is set to make some executive changes. The details and extent of those changes are unclear, but rumours persist the Commissioner will explain everything in a special edition of Vinko's Sex Disco segment.
Who Will Face Christopher Daniels?
With Beat The Summer Heat only weeks away and two world championships on the line, alot of questions remain.
It was announced last week that AWA World Heavyweight Champion Steve Corino would defend that title for the first time in Winnipeg in over 15 years against 'Showtime' Robby Royce, the man who beat him in 2001 for the NWA North American Championship.
Royce demanded the match. Surprisingly, so did Corino. An stunned Royce backed off his demand and asked what was in it for him... He said winning the AWA World Championship was a given. But what he wanted was what had been denied him the most - a rematch against Mentallo for the PCW Heavyweight Championship!
That demand had not been answered last week.
In addition to sorting that out, it WILL be announced how Christopher Daniels' opponant will be determined. On August 4th, he will defend the TNA World X Division Championship against a PCW Superstar. Who will it be? Find out this Thursday Night, only at the LID Nightclub.
In other news, NWA Canadian X Division Champion Kenny Omega seems be letting his success and his incredible performance at the Premier Cup go to his head. He has made several arrogent statements in recent weeks and declared last week that he was a bigger star then both Daniels and Corino. After injuring his friend Cisco Satanico in a match last week, Omega stunned onlookers by taking full advantage and brutalizing his young challenger. And he did it all while wrestling in his tightie-whities, apparently to demonstrate how lightly he took Cisco.
Chris Stevens made a surprising return to PCW last week, but fell short in his bid to capture the PCW Heavyweight Championship. It appeared he was doing the dirty work of Robby Royce, but when an enraged Royce tried to slap him for failing, Stevens kicked his ass to the cheers of the people.
Royce has vowed his war on Mentallo will continue until he gets his rematch, but the Heavyweight Champion continued to let his matches do his talking, making statement after statement through his dominating performances in the ring. Mentallo could be the most impressive PCW Champion of all time.
All this and much, much more!
Doors open at 8:00Pm, bell time is 9:00 SHARP!
