Premier Championship Wrestling, just one week removed from the wildly successful Beat the Summer Heat, returned to the LID Nightclub this past Thursday Night!
Kenny Omega Promo
The night began with the answer to a huge challenge! Last week, the TNA World X Division Champion "Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels challenged Kenny Omega to a one on one match later in the year.
Tonight, Kenny was asked to respond. He said that he totally understood why Daniels would want to face him and get the rub of working with him, but that the Fallen Angel simply wasn't good enough yet to warrent that match taking place. Omega declined the challenge.
He then turned his attention to the controversial NWA Canadian X Division Championship - a title the NWA demanded PCW stop using. Kenny responded to those demands by reiterating that he was, in fact, the NWA Canadian X Division Champion, but agreed with the NWA - he said he did not want to be champion! He said he did not want to hold a worthless, meaningless title from a company that hasn't meant anything since 1993!
"For God's sake, would someone please beat me for this title!" he implored. He even challenged anyone to step in the ring to face him and take the gold!
Cue "Red Hot" Ryan Wood! The fans erupted with surprise as the former PCW Junior Heavyweight Champion entered the ring. He said if Omega was laying down challenges, then Woody was just the guy to accept it.
Omega replied that that was fine and criticised Woody. Wood responded by saying he had checked the Vance Nevada book of stats and realised that he and Omega had wrestled each other eight times in their careers and were an even four wins apiece. Tonight was the tie breaker!
"Diehard" Greg Romijn vs Dark Chee
Romijn hit the ring and was clearly incensed. He reminded the poeple that he had challenged Dark Chee to a hardcore match last week, but that he refused to wait until the main event for that match. He wanted Chee now!
Chee entered the ring with Moses Luke at his side. Luke immediately made his presence known, pulling Romijn to the mat to give Chee an unfair advantage. After several minutes of Chee-dominated action, Romijn came on strong. It was short lived as Moses climbed into the ring and layed Romijn out. The 400+lb monster climbed the top turnbuckler, but suddenly stopped when Mike Hammer appeared!
Hammer grabbed the mic and got in Chee's face telling him that they went back a long way. He said that the time he spent with Chee was the worst of his career and that Chee did sick, disgusting things to him. And if Chee was looking for a fight, he'd happily give it to him. And with that, Hammer kicked Chee in the groin.
He followed that up with several more groin-related offensive moves! Chee tried to power his way to the advantage, but Hammer continued coming on strong.
It was clearly not going to last as the World Tallest Midget was simply out muscled. It was not needed when Mo climbed back in the ring and attacked Hammer. He climbed the top turnbuckle and nailed the Super Alabama Jam! Hammer appeared to be injured.
Aj Sanchez vs Nate Hardy
Great ovation for the young Nate Hardy, one week after nearly winning the meaningless NWA Canadian X Division Championship!
Sanchez was accompanied by his Big Sexy Beast partner Kevy Chevy and manager Jean-Marc Levesque!
A jaw dropping opening sequence resulted in a positive situation for Nate, but Sanchez, another young superstar in PCW, quickly fought back. The back and forth contest was soon interrupted by "The Enforcer" JP Kaos who slid into the ring and, after a moment of indecision, blasted Sanchez with the kendo stick. He then struck a confused Nate with the stick. As Chevy jumped up on the apron, he too felt the kendo!
Fans were going wild as Kaos even took out referee Chris Marxwell! Levesque did the smart thing and hid on the opposite side of the ring as Kaos finished by pointing the kendo ominously at PCW announcer Shallcross.
The fans began chanting for JML to eat the kendo stick and Kaos obliged, smashing the stick across his back!
Nate slowly recovered, saw his opponant was still in a prone position and hit the swanton dive as ref Steve H Ross slid in for the three count!
Winner: Nate Hardy!
Panther Nation
As the lights dimmed and a lone garbage can was placed in the middle of the ring, it was time for the first official appearance of the controversial Panther Nation!
The man previously known as P'lo stalked to the ring. He took the mic and had some racially insensitive things to say. PCW apologizes for the uncondoned words.
"Last week I said Kory Kinkade was a disgrace to his race!" he began. "I gave him one week to decide if he was against me or with me and he has disappeared!"
The fans were irate as the man continued.
"Last week, I also said that I hated this country and I would burn a Canadian flag in this ring! Let me tell you why. All of our so-called leaders are white! And you white racist pigs support them!"
And then his comments really became inappropriate.
"It seems, unless you're aborigional, you can't get ahead in this country! If you find that you're even one percent Native, you can get tax breaks and government grants and it's bullsh!t! Hell, the government might even fund your wrestling company! Well when are they going to fund my wrestling company? When will you see the Black Canadian Wrestling Federation? Never! And it's bullsh!t!"
He reminded the people that, in his opinion, in this business if you're black, you're on your back and he produced a Canadian Flag and vowed it would burn!
He was interrupted by the popular young Kory Kinkade who entered to a strong ovation! Kinkade said that he was Canadian and d**ned proud of it. The fans began chanting 'Canada, Canada'. Kinkade said "There is no way in hell you can burn that flag! You can't burn the Canadian flag...without a lighter!"
Kinkade pulled a lighter out of his pocket and showed it to the crowd. Just as they were about to burn the flag, Greg Romijn hit the ring!
He told Kinkade that he doesnt suck because he's black, he sucks because he sucks! And he called the other man a '40 year old virgin!'. Romijn said "You will burn that flag over my dead body!"
The Chairman of Panther Nation grabbed the mic and said that was fine by him.
"Why is it when you people get together with us, your idea of race relations is someone has to die?" he demanded. "If a death is what you want, then it will be your funeral!"
The match was made - Kinkade vs Romijn!
Tag Sciences Faculty vs Rawskillz & Chris Klassic
The former PCW Tag Team Champions hit the ring and were irate. Mike Angels said the new champs, Skillz & Klassic declined to put the titles on the line. Angels demanded that, as former champs, they receve an immediate rematch for the gold.
Rawskillz and Chris Klassic came to the ring to a huge ovation. Skillz agreed he'd defend the titles, but asked that Chad Tatum and Mike Angels also put something on the line - if they lose, they can never team again!
It was an incredible match filled wit tons of back and forth action too plentiful to accurately recap! Rawskillz nailed a double lariet. Tatum fought back for his team hitting an impressive Swanton!
In the end, Klassic nailed Tatum for the victory!
Winners: Rawskillz & Chris Klassic
Post match, a devastated Tatum and Angels were on their knees in tears as they realised they could never team again. They removed their red shirts, folded them neatly and then embraced as the fans gave them a warm reaction.
Greg Romijn vs Kory Kinkade
Before the match, The Chairman declared history was in the making as this was the first step in the revolution! He said Romijn was a 'white supremist' and a 'white trash racist' and was facing a 'proud black man'. And "May the superior race in!"
Romijn took it to Kinkade from the onset. Kinkade tried to fight back, and even took Romijn down, but "Diehard" battled back. That prompted the Chairman to slide a chair into the ring. Kinkade tried to strike Romijn, but Romijn blocked it, took the chair and nailed Kinkade, earning the DQ.
Winner: Kory Kinkade
Dark Chee hit the ring and also ate a chair. Romijn dropped the Chairman with a right hand. As Kinkade struggled to his feet, Romijn measured and plastered him with the steel chair. he then took the Canadian Flag and draped it across the unconscious Kinkade.
The Chair knelt beside his fallen comrade and said "What a surprise! A white man fights a black man and it ends in a lynching! Kinkade may have been killed here tonight, but the Nation only grows stronger! Next week, another man joins the revolution. And all of you whote racist pigs will learn that the Black Man is God!"
"Showtime" Robby Royce & David Dixon vs Mentallo & "Vicious" Donny Dicaprio
Royce was out first sporting the title belts of ICW, TRCW and Premier Championship Wrestling. He said that yes, he only had three belts and not four as he did not win the AWA World Heavyweight Championship last week. But he said it was the fault of one man - Mentallo - who interjected himself into the match!
Royce said he took Corino to the limit and because he battered him so badely, Corino nearly lost his World title earlier this week when the Pensylvania State Athletic Commission stopped an AWA World Championship match due to Corino's blood loss. And that blood loss was a result of the 13 stitches Royce inflicted on him!
Royce said as far as he was concerned all last week's match meant was, they were tied one match apiece and he was challenging Corino to the third and deciding encounter!
He then turned his attention to the former PCW Heavyweight Champion Mentallo, telling him that he did have the match of the night against Christopher Daniels but he would not receive a rematch for the PCW title because he simply did not deserve it. "Earn your rematch!" Royce demanded.
Dixon hit the ring to a vile reaction.
Dicaprio received a huge level of fan support due to his dominance in MMA competition and Mentallo was given a 'Mentallo, Mentallo' chant upon his entry to the ring.
The match was surprisingly short as all four men threw whatever they could at each other. It seemed no one could maintain the clear advantage for long. Dicaprio dumped Dixon to the floor as Mentallo made the blind tag. Dicaprio leveled Royce who fell into a roll-up by Mentallo for the pin!
Winners: Mentallo and Dicaprio
NWA Canadian X Division Championship
Kenny Omega vs "Red Hot' Ryan Wood
Woody was clearly the fan favourite, but Kenny received his fair share of fan support as well.
Both men intended to reach the level of their previous matches, but seemed to be more determined to beat each other then to seek an athletic advantage.
After several minutes of action, Omega dropped Woody and held him long enough for the pin.
Winner: Kenny Omega
Post Match, Woody thanked the fans and told them to keep supporting PCW as it was 'the place to be'.
PCW announced that the new and improved PCW website was close to a launch! Shallcross said it would feature news, views and the truth and if it something happened that effected wrestling in Manitoba, it would be on the PCW website!
He also said PCW was reviving a WCW concept - the Lethal Lottery! Stay tuned for that!
