Anyone have any thoughts on RAW?
I have mixed feelings. I understand why WWE started off the show (and the draft) with the Cena jump, but it seemed sort of anti-climatic. They had the entire SD crew there and I missed the drama of last years draft when they showed the splti screen of both rosters sitting anxiously, waiting for the announcement.
It also hamstrings SD, though Cena will likely be traded back, unless they decide to move Batista, which I think is unlikely. HHH certainly wont go to SD. I could almost see Batista going and Cena staying to put over HHH since he is very popular and HHH hasn;t beaten him yet.
The ECW angle was fun, but some of us did not remember Rotten or Balls. And evidently, neither did Jim Ross who did not mention them once. Perhaps throwing in the bWo or especially Lance Storm would have helped. Tajiri chanted ECW but then never went out. Plus, I was waiting for RVD's music to hit... maybe on SD.
No Big Vis makes me sad...
The 'contract signing' was dumb. Why is it HHH keeps doing the same angles over and over and over and over again. I mean, exactly the same. Didnt he and Batista do a contract signing about three months ago? And mean, angry Batista is not what made him a break-out star in the first place, not like that anyway.
At least we can look forward to the end of the feud after Hell in the Cell which Batista has to win. In fact, the more I think of it, the more I see Batista going to SD and Cene/HHH feuding on RAW even though HHH has a hard-on to hold the World title and not the WWE title.
I'm actually looking forward to the ECW PPV, first time I've looked forward to a WWE PPV in awhile.
