Raw was decent.
However, have the writers already blown Batista's turn? I liked the angle better when it wasn't an angle and the writers had no intention of turning Batista. He was way more natural in the backstage promos before the writers got a hold of him. And why must they insist on using this red hot angle to give Orton the rub? The Orton experiment failed. Accept it. Move on.
Actually, I think the best way to salvage Orton would be for him to go to HHH, hat in hand and apologize and admit he was right. Turn him back in a sickening way - that will make the fans hate his spineless guts. AND...you have yet another reason to piss off Batista.
I just don't have a goodfeeling about this - house show line-ups seems to indicate HHH/Batista/Orton three ways and that is just so wrong. They will ruin Batista just to try to make Orton. Well, he's had months to be 'made' and hasn't done it.

Here's what I do: I have the Orton/HHH match at the Rumble, with HHH cheating to win. I then have Batista win the rumble, to get the WM title shot. On the way to WM, obviously HHH and Batista have to break apart at some point, and Flair chooses to side with Batista, and they form an alliance of sorts with Orton again. Come WM, Orton is the one to cost Batista the world title, thus making him a HUGE heel again. Batista first gets h is revenge on Orton, then finally gets a rematch with HHH at Summerslam, where he captures the strap, and blows the roof off the building.
We can throw a mini Flair-HHH feud in there as well, during the Orton-Batista run, based off the fact that Flair hated being HHH's yes-man for the entire Evolution run. One last run at the top for Naitch can't be bad, can it?

I'm torn on the Flair spot. While I'd love to see him cut a sizzling promo on HHH and teach him what being the man is all about, I think that sort of spells the end for him. Where would he go after a face turn?
Still, Flair SHOULD get one last run on top. Ideally, it would be winning the strap from HHH and then dropping it back to him (though dropping it to someone else like a newly heel Orton would make more sense).
I like the idea of Batista not getting the strap right away. HHHs MO seems to be to put over anyone at WM, so someone else has the top spot during the traditional downturn following WM and then he comes abck in late summer to 'save the day'.
They could actually drag out the Batista/HHH program until NEXT WrestleMania, but that might be pushing it, especially with these writers who think long term means 'two weeks'.
But Orton needs to turn heel or at the very least move to SD. Ther perfect way to describe the difference between Orton & Batista is this: Creative decided Orton should be the next big thing and tried to make the fans buy it. The fans decided Batista should be the next big thing and Creative is just now realising it.
