Apparently WWE has now signed former ECW and TNA worker Johnny Swinger to a contract.

I thought RAW was decent, but they took a huge step back in the Batista angle. Lucky for them, they did the right thing by the end of the night. The backstage promo between HHH and Flair was so wrong on many levels. Firstly, I realise it's supposed to be a TV show so I guess the camera isn't really there, or at least that is what WWE says when peopel criticise them for those stupid promos. But it's a bad arguement. Maybe on Friends, we're supposed to ignore the cameras, but never on Friends do you see segments where Ross uses the camera to send a message to Chandler. Stupid, stupid stupid. And now we'll never know if Batista really knew HHH was setting him up, or if he just found out about it by listening to that promo. There were better ways to reveal that. It was just a pointless little plot point in the entire angle. But the worst part was, Flair's reaction. He was played perfectly throughout this angle, trying to keep peace between both guys. Why he would suddenly and so over the top take HHH's side and not realise that Batista would be hot, is totally ridiculous. It almost seems that even Flair knows his gushing over HHH is so ridiculous that he purposly makes it so over the top that it is more mocking then sincere. I'd like to think it's all a long term set up to an eventual face turn, but I doubt it. It would have been way better if Flair was shocked (as he appeared to be) and angry and dismayed with HHH's tactics. HHH could have convinced him to see his side by reminding him of all the things he did as leader of the Horsemen when the young stud wanted his shot - that would have been great. And then you have Flair grudgingly accept HHH's plan, but look conflicted in doing so. Then Flair's true feelings would be another plot point going into Wrestlemania. The end angle was great and I cannot believe the writers used the Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down. That kind of continuity is just not expected of WWE anymore. You just know that HHH will get the heat back going into WM, but I almost think they should have Batista keep destroying HHH all the way up to and including the big show. Light a rocket to his ass and let him go as high as he can. Chris Masters. I wish they would have had Flair go out and school the kid. That would have been gold. Does anyone else find Shawn Michaels annoying and boring as a babyface? RAW is in need of heels (or else the title will be back on HHH by May). Michaels should be that guy. I dig Hassan and fully expect him to beat Benoit. But I'm not sure if his gimmick will allow him to be the top guy any time in the future. This year's Draft should be really interesting to see if they move some top guys to SD rather then just mid carders.

Frankie Kazarian and ROH champion Austin Aries are schedueled to work the Smackdown tapings tonite. Kazarian was supposed to appear on the Raw taping but due to transportation diffuculties was unble to make it.

Wasn't it Stevie Richards that also got dropped on his head by John Heidenreich when he first appeared on RAW?
