Did anyone else think RAW was decent but book-ended by sh!t and a great example of the creative team not having a d**n clue?
HHH coming out first was all wrong. HHH putting himself over and sh!tting on Batista was all wrong. Batista not interjecting was all wrong. Brutal.
Triple threat was killer, but Shelton aint doing it for me. Put him on SD or bring Hass to Raw (Rockers vs Worlds Greatest Tag Team anyone...?).
Benoit/Edge was great too, but Edge is so bland. I understand he is pretty over, but he makes me want to change the channels and he is horrible on the mic. Talk about over-acting. I've always thought WWE guys should have to go through an acting workshop when in OVW and Edge is the perfect example of why...Move him to SD where he can work with Cena.
Michaels/Hassan was pretty good. I like Hassan, but if the creative team didn't realise the fans would chant for Hogan, then they are morons. It hurt the segment because, rather then be concerned for Michaels, the fans were staring at the entrance way and chanting for someone else... good time to turn him heel, actually...
Orton's promo was good. Probably the best he has ever done and he is much better as a heel, probably because his natural ***hole-ishness shines through. But again, a promo to sh!t on the new champ and Batista does...nothing. Weak.
The main event was okay, if only because seeing Orton get squashed is pretty nice. But I was shaking my head when Orton jumped out to the early advantage. Just like at WM, creative (or the agents) are clueless here. Batista should not be leaving his feet at this point. He should have fully squashed Orton since Randy is leaving anyway. He just looked weak and then the way he viciously went after the shoulder had me worried the fans may start to have sympathy for Orton. Who the f**k are the agents on RAW anyway...?
And then to have HHH come out to end the show? Who's the new champ again? Oh yeah, it doesn;t matter - it's all about making HHH the star and protecting HHH. What a joke WWE is. Batista needs to squash HHH at Backlash, totally destroy him and then move him down or to SD and let Batista actually develop into a top guy. It sort of makes you wonder if the HHH-effect is real. They have f**ked Batista every way possible since he face turn. And aside from Batista, who else on RAW is a legit top guy at this point? Keep in mind RAW is supposed to be the strong brand.
They have a lot of work to do and someone needs to sit HHH down and point out that it is his job to create new stars like Austin, Rock, Hart and Flair did before him.
