Anyone else find RAW on Monday to be the embodiment of what is wrong with WWE, namely that Creative is talentless?
I appreciate the women's tag match, but since they no longer have a women's division and do not seem interested in re-building one, they should just stop. I don't really want to see Christy blow spots and expose the business in the name of physical T&A. Trish is too talented to waste on stupid stuff. Let her beat up all the useless Diva's, sure, but no within the context of wrestling matches. Just sad.
Kane/Lita had me mildly intrigued. On the surface, they seem to be going with Lita as the master manipulator, using Kane to forward her own agenda. Sure, they did it years ago with Torrie, but it has merit. But then again, if they turn Lita heel, what's the point? She's pretty d**n over. On the other hand, they could just be uniting the happy couple. Then again, maybe Lita will end up with Edge... Or, both Lita and Kane turn heel just in time for the return of Matt who exacts revenge on Kane and then wins back Lita's heart and honour...
HHH needs to go away. Far away. Either he is influencing the creative to team to f**k Batista or the creative team is so used to HHH being the centre of the RAW universe that they don't realise what they are doing. Either way, he needs to go. His promo last week was predictable and lame. This week, it really got bad. So now, as fans, we're supposed to buy into the fact that Batista is afraid of the pedigree? Wrestling is a work and fans are smart and that is a silly point to build a dramatic fued around. And if Batista is only going to come out and say he was never afraid, then where is the drama?
And why is HHH out constantly telling everyone how great he is, how Batista is afraid, how Batista just got lucky etc, and Batista is not even responding? Talk about cutting the legs out from under the new champ. On SD, it's the Cena show... on RAW, it's still the HHH show. Bad, bad, bad.
And that awesome dramatic cliffhanger of HHH facing JR next week?? Pure genius... You could hear a pin drop when he made the announcement. Brutal.
Michaels and Hogan eh? Well, it makes zero sense when in reality the spot should go to Marty. And the fact is, as much as I want to see Hogan have 'ONE MORE MATCH', I don't want it as part of a throw-away mid-card match on a second-string PPV. I will reserve judgement until this develops further and can only hope that either Marty interjects himself or Hogan and Michaels find some way to not get along. I still see a heel Michaels as pure gold and what better way to turn heel then to destroy Hogan and brag that you're the only true legend in the WWE.
Jericho/Shelton was flat, but decent. I'd sure like one of them to turn heel though as the fans are not too into this babyface vs babyface (or after Monday, Tweener vs Tweener) feud. Shelton is awesome, but not really over.
Benoit/Christian was good, if a bit too long. I'd rather see Christian in the IC title picture, or stepping up to challenge Batista (he'd be a good choice to sacrifice to the new champ since he can work, talk and make Batista look like a million dollars). And what's up with Benoit??
And where is the draft? Part me wonders (and hopes), that the reason they are holding off the draft is because HHH will be moved to SD...
