So I visted a strip club in Vancouver this past weekend and was choked when the bartender said my drink was going to cost me $6.25!!!! and I only got a single.
Terrible. Anyone been charged an outrageous amount elsewhere?

Ok now that's just terrible.
Although I will say that the strippers were at least good at the club I went to.

Winnipeg has always had the cheapest drink prices. Bar owners here are driven crazy by how cheap we are.
Back in the day before minimum pricing, you could rink for $1 a shot any day of the week. On the weekends, triples were $3 or $4.
People are so cheap. One bar would charge $1.25 and the bar down the street would lower their price to $1 and just to save $0.25, everyone would suddenly start going there. It was war.
$0.75 shooters and $1 for beer and shots. The good old days.

Can't say I really took advantage of those drink prices... But nothing compaires to the Lid prices. I pay more than $3.00 for a beer now and I complain! lol

lol - I sort of remember the infamous 10-cent draft night at Rookies on Wednesdays. After working the Chalmers shows for Bobby, we'd all take our measly PO's, head on down to the local watering hole and get f**king blitzed. Good times were had by all .... Even me by all rumour.

I went to see chick strippers.
I can remember back to 10 cent draft night at the central and 25 cent draft night at Scandals.
The lowest drink price I can remember was $2 at Scandals on Friday night.

The Palladium was $1 on Monday's and Wednesday. I think $1.75 on Fridays. Saturday was Saturator Saturdays with $3 triples. Shooters were $0.75 all the time.
When I worked at Scandals we called Draft night, Fight Night. It was insane - people ordering trays of draft.
The good thing about $1 drinks was that I got to pay that price for any drink any time. So my weekends were good.

The lines are never cleaned. trust me. In a bar like Earls, it is not so bad because fresh draft runs through them all the time. But in a nightclub where you only serve draft one day a week, it's sort of disgusting.
When the Palladium was renovated, the lines had not been used in years and they took them out altogether.
